Marshall Islands International Airport—also known as Amata Kabua International Airport—is the primary gateway to the Republic of the Marshall Islands and sits on the southern edge of Majuro Atoll. It’s a modest, functional airport, but it plays an outsized role in connecting this remote island nation with the rest of the Pacific, serving routes to places like Honolulu, Guam, and other Micronesian islands. The terminal has a simple, no‑frills layout that reflects the slower pace of life in the Marshalls, yet travelers often appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the glimpse it offers into local culture. With the runway stretching along a narrow strip of land between ocean and lagoon, arrivals and departures come with striking views that make the journey feel uniquely tied to the islands’ geography.
