Before Security Smoking

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the terminals.

2024, September update from Emilia: Palermo airport smoking area is out of service. September 27th, 2024.

2024, July update from Raphael: The terminal (Domestic / Intra-Schengen) has been undergoing some renovations over the last year or so and now they finally have a smoking room past security! Opposite gate A18, next to the bathrooms. Nothing fancy but at least it's not a tiny cubicle.

For connecting flights you might need to enter Sicily and smoke outside terminal then go through Security again for your flight.
