After Security Smoking

2025, November, page info provided by Dylan B.: There's one smoking area near gate A9. It's well marked, just take escalator down from the middle of the concourse. We're flying domestically, but I believe both international and domestic flights can access it. Photos attached.

Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport (IATA: DYG) is the main air gateway to Zhangjiajie in Hunan Province, China, serving as a vital hub for both domestic and international travelers.

Opened in 1994 and renamed from its original title of Dayong Airport, it lies just 6 kilometers southwest of downtown Zhangjiajie and about 40 kilometers from the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, famous for the sandstone pillars that inspired the movie Avatar. The airport has a 2,600-meter concrete runway and a modern Terminal 2, inaugurated in 2015, which can handle up to 5 million passengers annually. In 2023, it processed over 1.5 million passengers and 12,700 aircraft movements, along with 119 metric tons of cargo. Zhangjiajie Hehua is the second international airport in Hunan Province and connects the region to major Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Xi’an, as well as international destinations including Bangkok, Seoul, Osaka, Taipei, Jakarta, and Ho Chi Minh City. Its proximity to natural landmarks such as Tianmen Mountain and the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park makes it a crucial entry point for tourists exploring one of China’s most iconic landscapes.
