Before and After Security Smoking

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the terminals before security.

Breaking ban only has a fine of $25

Concourse B:

Update from TommyLee, November 2022: Smoking lounge accros gate B41 is still open.

Update from Clifton G., Oct 2019: Smoking lounge across from B41 and next to Carrabba's Italian grill is still open.

There is a Smoking Lounge between Gate B73 and Washington Redskins Burger. Update from BernD on the 14th Aug 2018.

Update from Lukasz on the 13th April 2018: I just wanted to confirm that smoking lounge near gate B39 is working and is a really cool place - you won't get out stinking like an ash tray and has comfortable armchairs on which you can relax and play a round (or 4) of hearthstone :)
