2025, August update from Robert C.: Smoking after security for Faro - FAO Update from Rob C. 15/08/2025 - there is now a smoking area in Faro, just after the duty free above the shops, in mulligans bar. There’s 2 nice tables and an EU socket. Overall it’s a nice small smoking area and there’s lovely air conditioning but it could be a little bit bigger, some chairs would be nice and some more sockets. Rating: 5/10 Cigarettes
Update from Klaus, April 2022: Update 04/2022: there is no smoking possibility after security check. At least when flying an inside EU flight. When you leave EU there is a different access to the gates but you cannot overlook the whole area from the EU part.
For connecting flights you will need to enter Portugal and smoke outside terminal then go through Security again for your flight.
