Before Security Smoking

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the terminals.

Vaping, Heat not Burn and E-Cigs are also banned. See here.

After Security Smoking

There are no smoking facilities inside the terminal.

Update from John P., February 2023: Chiang Rai (CEI) does not have a smoking area after security as predicted. There is a smoking hut opposite the terminal outside but that's it.

For connecting flights you may need to leave the terminal and enter Thailand and smoke outside the terminal then going through Security again for your flight.
