Kaohsiung International Airport, also known as Xiaogang Airport, is the primary air gateway to southern Taiwan and the country’s second‑busiest airport, serving nearly 7 million passengers annually. Located just 6–8 km from central Kaohsiung, it offers a compact, easy‑to‑navigate layout with two connected terminals—a modern international terminal and an older domestic one—linked by a short climate‑controlled corridor. The airport provides fast access to the city via the Kaohsiung MRT Red Line (R4), taking about 15 minutes to reach downtown. Known for its efficiency, regional connectivity, and convenient location, KHH serves major airlines such as China Airlines, EVA Air, Starlux, and AirAsia, with routes across East and Southeast Asia.
