Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the terminals.

ALL SMOKING AREAS CLOSED PERMANENTLY IN ENTIRE TERMINAL
Terminal 1
Update from Roey, May 2023: Unfortunately i can confirm that no Smoking is possible :( the last option is before entering the building. There are everywhere information banners confirming, that the smoking ban for terminal 3 and 1 are permanently. Anyway i would advise to plan enough time as tlv is a very crowded high Security Airport
Update May 2023, from Rolan. Smoking area is presently closed.
For connecting flights you may need to leave the terminal and enter Israel and smoke outside the terminal then going through Security again for your flight.
