2026, February update from Liam.: Nanning domestic terminal has a smoking room next to China Southern lounge by gates 5 and 6.

2025, December update from Liam: at Nanning Wuxu (NNG), I found a very small smoking room at the far end of the international departures area. Its very small and cramped but better than nothing.

Update from Theodoros: Smoking allowed only in 2 designated areas outside the airport. No any smoking area after security, although the signs still existing !!!!.

Airport recently reconstructed, but all smoking rooms seems to be locked. (18/08/2019)

Older Feedback: Feedback from Julius 21st January 2017: The airport has been reconstructed and the old airport has been closed. The new building features smoking lounges that are quiet, clean and spacious. No seats though. The international departures section has one smoking room at the end of the corridor. My rating: 7/10

For connecting flights you must enter China and smoke outside terminal then go through Security again for your flight.
