Before Security Smoking

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the terminals.

After Security Smoking

There are smoking facilities inside the terminal.

Update from John P., April 2023: Bahrain airport has a large and well ventilated smoking area between gates 14-15. Theres also a Terrace bar by gate 14 that has an outside smoking area but you have to buy something. Cheapest drink is 1,500bhd (£3.21) for a can of pepsi or similar.

Update from Rebecca, Nov 2019: There is a smoking room here. It’s horrible but if you go up the stairs directly outside it. There is the Irish bar which allows smoking. Far nicer.

Marhaba Lounge has a special smoking area.

There is also smoking rooms at Gates 12A and 17B
