Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the terminals.

Feedback from Chris on the 21st November 2017: There is a smoking lounge at PQC (Phu Quoc Airport) on at least the domestic side of the terminal. It is located behind the Burger King, accessible via the left side of the Burger King.  

The glass doors of the smoking lounge were wide ajar, the lights were out, but the fans were going ;-)

Update from Toni, October 2023: Smoking room close to the Heineken beer bar

Feedback from Chris on the 21st November 2017: A sign for another smoking lounge is visible through the glass partition to the international terminal but I can't confirm that there actually is another one on the international side.
